DIY Filled & Fashion Forward Borris House Wedding
This was a really special wedding for me. In so many different ways....
Faye & Patsy put their complete trust in me on their wedding day, they said they chose me as their photographer because they loved my creativity, they knew that I was an artist and they wanted me to have free reign with the photographs. Wow was I buzzing!
Faye and Patsy are two incredibly creative people themselves, in their day to day lives and in their careers they ooze character and flair. So much of this was evident in their wedding day, there was DIY to beat the band. To name but a few of the projects they undertook....they did the wedding flowers & bouquets, the ceremony decorations and incredible wreath backdrop, the wedding cake, designed the wedding rings AND wedding dress...the list goes on! It looked like the wedding had been styled by a professional but it was all done by the two of them and their family and friends. You'll be amazed as you scroll through the photos below.
Bridal Preparations
The morning was a buzz of activity and fun as all the last minute projects were completed, there was also an element of anticipation as storm Brian was raging away outside as we were all tucked up indoors. The rain was pouring as we headed for the ceremony but low and behold when it came to the time for photos, the skies cleared and it stayed dry for the rest of the afternoon! Borris house is SUCH an incredible venue... come rain hail or shine photographing here would be a dream. We travelled across the farm yard and fields, I took Faye and Patsy at their word for wanting creative photos and we went off on a wonderful adventure together to get them! I think it's safe to say the three of us had a lot of fun!
I say this about so many of my weddings, but if I could shoot this day, again and again, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Faye and Patsy put their focus on all the important things...showcasing their personalities, creating a love-filled, music-filled, and heartfelt day for both themselves and families and friends and doing their wedding THEIR way.
What a dream to play a small part in it....
