Best of 2020

Trying to summarise 2020 is no mean feat...it's the year none of us can forget that's for sure!

My over riding memory however despite all the upheaval we experienced,  is that love prevails no matter what. I had the unbelievable honour of capturing 24 weddings last year, 20 of those taking place during the pandemic. 20 weddings that went ahead despite the fact that the world as we knew it was changing before our eyes. 20 courageous couples who decided that nothing was stopping them from marrying the person they love most in this world.

Yes weddings looked slightly different then they have before...Numbers were smaller, masks were worn, creative solutions put in place to keep people safe. But what I can tell you first hand is that weddings didn't feel different. They were full of just as much love, happiness, joy & laughter as those weddings that have gone before! In fact if anything these feelings were felt even stronger than weddings that came before as I think we all learned over the last year just how precious and friends and family really are to us.

I of course have to acknowledge that sadly a lot of wedding did have to be postpone due to restrictions  across the year. And what I want to say to my couples who found themselves in that position is that your day will be here soon...and boy will it have been worth the wait! I promise you you are going to have the day of a lifetime, filled with happy memories, that you will never ever EVER forget. I for one can't wait for the party!So without further adieu...here it is, a little snapshot of 2020 and all that gorgeous, bright, beautiful love that prevailed.
