Best of 2019

Well Hello!I'm a little late to the best of this year but honestly 2019 was my busiest year yet and trying to take 200 photos from 40 weddings was nearly impossible! What a joy though going through each wedding from the year and reliving all those wedding days. That's what photos are about, what they are for...they immediately transport you back to the moment and with that come the feelings, the sounds, the essence of each one of those moments captured. It's like experiencing magic! After getting married myself at the end of 2018 I could see a noticeable shift looking back at the photos from the year that followed. Although it was always a focus I truly realised once married myself the importance of capturing guests, the people you love. You are never going to forget how your husband/wife looked or how you felt seeing them for the first time on your wedding day, but your deluge of happy emotions on the day dims the memories of everything else. You'll forget what face your friend made as you exchanged your vows or what your aunt and best friend were laughing about at the reception, or the 5 minutes you had to yourself before entering the ceremony...but this is why photos are there, they allow those memories to rush back in to focus and give you space to celebrate all those little moments again.Like every year previous that I've been in this business, I left 2019 with nothing but gratitude for the work I get to do, the days I get to be a part of and the people I get to meet. I'm striding in to 2020 with a full  heart and a hell of a lot of excitement for the year ahead and all the weddings I'll get to be a part of.But for now, here is 3minutes 34seconds of my incredible 2019 (scroll through the blog post if you want to see the photos in more detail)xxxx
